Both Emotions and Reason are Central Human Characteristics

/ 4 April 2013

Well, that is that, in class today our final unit four essays were due in my Philosophy of Human Nature course. Seeing that only four longer essays out of the six unit essays are required, combined with other papers and projects in these final 4 cycles of the semester, I won’t be writing any more of these longer formal essays. That, of course, doesn’t mean that I won’t write some informal thoughts upon the conclusion of each of the last two units here on my blog, I may well do that, but those won’t count for credit in the course. The question for unit four was about to what extent we are characterized by reason and where do emotions fit into the picture. My essay has my full discourse on the subject, and I encourage discussion here relating to that discourse and/or this question in general.
