Are we Materialists or Dualists?

For all my other essays for my Philosophy of Human Nature class I pulled out my main conclusion to be the title of the blog post in which I place the access to an online copy of the essay, but this third essay barely could come to such conclusions and so I instead title this post with the core of the final iteration of the third overarching question. Both sides have problems, so unlike in previous essays where I chose a side in this essay I pretty much had to just describe both sides and conclude that while I lean in one direction I cannot fully adopt either side as a whole.
