Sparkle And Time Machine Don’t Seem To Mix

In the backups that my MacBook has made this weekend I’ve noticed a bad problem. My Tools folder at /Users/Shared/Tools is being backed up by Time Machine (tested with a text file), but the applications in it that are using Sparkle to update aren’t being flagged for backup. This is probably due to how those applications get updated, but is still quite annoying. Now, it’s better than my Home Folder not being backed up, but it’s still quite bad. Hopefully there is some way that this issue can be fixed. It does, however, force me to lean towards switching back to SuperDuper! once a compatible version is released. Enjoy, Alex.
