Martin Luther King Jr. Day

As well as today being Mary’s birthday it is also Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The single day when we’re all guaranteed to think about African American leaders like (mainly) Martin Luther King Jr. But most of us only think of those few top ones that we hear about most, and don’t even know the stories of some of the others that also played their role in the civil rights movements and other relevant steps. I was quite glad to be able to see a play that some of my classmates put that was specifically telling the stories of 3 african americans that made clear changes in the way African Americans are viewed, yet nobody really knows them.
