Apple’s Appreciation Of Al Gore

/ 15 October 2007

I’m writing about this a bit too late to give the direct proof, but still wanted to mention it here. At the end of last week Apple gave some appreciation to Al Gore for his efforts to make global warming recognized these past years. They totally changed their homepage and instead of having the iPod Nano ad, they had a nice appreciative (and quick) statement and a good picture of Al Gore. Over the few days they kept this up they changed it halfway, so in all they had two different statements and pictures.

Most of us probably don’t think that much about global warming and the negative effects that it’s having on our environment during our daily lives. But we still need to know about it. We can’t just dismiss it, we need to try and fix it. This is probably too hard for most of us to actually do, but, just mentioning it the way I am is a way to try and help.

Today is Blog Action Day, a day when many blogs worldwide write about the environment. There are a few resources that you can use to help you if you do or don’t have a blog. You can read the blog to learn more as well. Try and write something in your blog like what I wrote here to help get the message across. Enjoy, Alex.
