Desktop Plist Issue

/ 26 May 2007

I mentioned earlier that my dad’s MacBook couldn’t run VirtueDesktops. We found out earlier that it wasn’t VirtueDesktops at all but rather it was the “com.apple.desktop.plist” file that controls what desktop image the “Dock.app” shows. When I was FUS on my MacBook a sign of the same issue showed up even without VirtueDesktops ever running on my MacBook. A simple fix that gets rid of this issue is to remove that plist and force the OS to remake it. Though it may seem a bit dramatic a response to some, I think that you may need to do this to make a safe plist file for your intel mac to use.
