iChat Integration Problem

I’m always online with iChat (I’m not always available though) but never have the actual application active. The ability to do that is great but there is one integration flaw that I hope gets fixed in 10.5. That flaw/ problem is that whenever the application is closed all anyone can do with my or I can do with them is initiate a text chat. It would be nice and sensible if it allowed for the initiation of as high a type of chat as the mac can handle (audio for my mac, but video for all the new macs). One thing I’ve heard is changing under 10.5 is tighter iChat integrations. This is meant to allow developers to incorporate iChat-powered chatting into their apps, but I hope it also allows the iChat menu extra to handle the initiation of more than just text chats.
