iPhoto Library Rebuild Key Combo

About once or twice a month iPhoto asks me to have it rebuild my thumbnail cache. After a bit of hunting on the internet I found the key combo to force iPhoto to show the dialog. On launching iPhoto if you hold down Command-Option and you get a more involved rebuild dialog then even iPhoto’s suggestion one. That dialog gives you the option to rebuild the small thumbnails, the thumbnails (which is what it does with the suggestions), rebuild the database, and recover stray photos. This is in the form of a checkbox list and you can check whichever you want and then press “Rebuild”. Symptoms that would suggest a rebuild is needed are super-slow and snail-like scrolling though the photos and a thumbnail opening the wrong photo. Genießen, Alex
