12-Hour to 24-Hour Menu Bar Clock Issue

The Mac OS X menu bar clock can be in either the 12-hour or 24-hour clock format. But an odd bug I found in the 24-hour display is that it still shows the “AM” and “PM” labels when it really makes absolutely no difference at all and just waists menu bar space to display those labels. It’s little bugs and oddities like these that I wonder if will disappear in 10.5 Leopard.
