Two Panic Log Formats?

Today I compared my iBook G4’s panic log to my dad’s PowerBook G4’s panic log and noticed a startling difference: the log on my mac has numerical sequences to identify the possible cause of kernel panics, but my dad’s mac has actual URL-like identifiers (com.clst.computermaintenance) to identify the possible cause of kernel panics. It’s extremely more helpful to have the basic identifiers as the identifiers to trace than the numerical sequences.
