Different Platform = Different RCX Firmware

In my robotics (Mindstorms) class, I was starting to download a RCX program when it asked to download newer firmware for the brick. After asking my teacher if that was okay, I told it to go ahead and download the newer firmware. In doing so (since the RCX was previously run from OS 9-based laptops) changing my assigned RCX from a OS 9 based RCX to an OS X based RCX. We checked (my teacher and I) and the Robolab version on my computer is the same as what’s on the school’s computers (2.4.5), thus the “Different Platform = Different RCX Firmware”.
