Advent Beginning

When Advent began yesterday it was cold and glomy-looking, but it was still Advent. In the afternoon my dad baked some Kipfels and put up the recipe and many others on the family wiki. Also unlike last Advent we started our routine of reading a bible story and lighting the Advent candles that evening. We also sang Christmas carols after we read the bible story. But when we just got together for all that I gave Nathaniel a Lego Advent calender (but told him it started on Wednsday). I am hopeful that we will have a joyful Advent/ Christmas this year. But unlike the past few years we won’t be going to see Holly’s family ( one of my mom’s sisters) for New Year’s since she and her daughter will be doing things that whole time.
