How Would We Know If Aliens Have Souls? Would We Care?

In place of any reading for today’s Philosophy of Human Nature class we were to write a reflection on those questions. In the process of determining what our souls may be reflecting on how we’d know if aliens had souls is an interesting way to go about synthesizing all of the ideas the authors we read from for this unit presented to us. You can also easily replace aliens for any Earthly species (save humans, of course) to use the same deductions to see if they have souls or not.
