Security Update 2008-005 Released

/ 31 July 2008

Earlier this evening Apple sent out Security Update 2008-005. This update patches a few extremely troublesome loopholes in Mac OS X and (as with any Software Update) creates a few more bugs and loopholes as well. The key fix that you install when you install this Security Update is one for the Open Scripting Architecture. Remember the ARD Agent vulnerability that was found a few weeks back, the vulnerability was based on inter-app scripting. That means that this Security Update fixes that major security issue. The update also updates various other Core technologies to fix smaller security bugs. Enjoy, Alex.
