Macbook MacBook Pro Software Update 1.1

/ 18 December 2007

This afternoon Apple released what calls itself MacBook MacBook Pro Software Update 1.1. This updates says that it fixes the keyboard/ airport issue that many Santa Rosa based macs have been experiencing since 10.5. My MacBook never had this issue, so the updated kernel extensions won’t affect me, but my mom’s MacBook Pro has been having this issue more consistently then ever. She has needed to turn off her airport before putting the mac to sleep just so it could wake up normally again. She has been wanting to call AppleCare on the issue and Eric and I have been nagging her to, but she hasn’t ever gotten around to it. Now hopefully she won’t have to. The update does require a restart and I sugest that you backup before (and optionally right after) taking this update. Enjoy, Alex.
