Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Release Date Rumor (ThinkSecret)

/ 4 October 2007

ThinkSecret has placed an educated guess that I agree with about the release date of 10.5 Leopard. They say that the release date will be on or around Friday October 26, 2007, that’s the final Friday in October. That date is similar to the release date of 10.4 Tiger, Friday April 29, 2005. Apple has less than two weeks to send a build of 10.5 to duplication for the OS to be delivered in time. The last seed was released on September 21, and based on history, the next build should come in the next 7-10 days. That build will likely be the Golden Master unless no bugs get discovered.

They also have information on 10.4.11, the final maintenance release to 10.4 Tiger. The only known bugs in the most recent seed of the update is on the PPC side, it has problems launching Civilization IV and The Sims 2. Enjoy, Alex
