One Issue Fixed

/ 29 April 2007

One of the MacBook defects mentioned in the site I linked to in an earlier entry was about batteries not being recognized by the MacBooks. Apple recently noticed this and has started a recall due to it. Only batteries showing the below symptoms need to be exchanged: * Battery not recognized, “X” in battery menu extra * Battery has low charge/ runtime when using a fully charged battery * Battery pack is visibly deformed Apple says that only batteries/ MacBooks purchased between February 2006 and April 2007 have a chance of being in the recall. They also say to install this update either via the link here or with Software Update before acting on the recall. At least what I considered to be one of the worse possible issues has now been fixed according to Apple.
