Google Alongside Spotlight

/ 11 April 2007

I found a Spotlight tool that will display the top Google results along with the results from the HD. It’s quite a useful tool and the underlying importing engine is called “SpotlightInputManager”, I’ve been trying to figure out if the engine is made by the people who made the Google tool or if it is a separate engine that can be used for other Spotlight tools as well. This tool seems like it will be good for quick searches for any research I’d need (or want) to do, as it will both display any files with the term that are on my mac, but it will also bring up the top Google results for me to check out. This tool also means that I should never have nothing show up in a Spotlight search I do (or if noting shows up it means that Google has no results for the term either).
