Lego To Sell Third-Party Hardware For NXT

/ 28 August 2006

Lego has said that it will sell certain third-party sensors and output devices for the NXT on their site, though at the moment none are on their site. They also made it clear that because the system is open-source, those third-party developers are welcome to provide code blocks for their sensors, and those would then be downloadable from the developer’s and Lego’s sites, and able to be installed right into the current sensor block locations. This also means that if you created your own sensor alike a third-party one Lego’s selling, you’ll be able to use that code block for your sensor.
