Stirring Fire

I’m a Friend of St. Joseph. Being associated to the CSJ Community in St. Paul I attend various events for the community. Last weekend was the annual Stirring the Fire retreat day. During that day the idea started forming in me to create a painting like this one. So, over this past week I have built it up. At its basic level it depicts someone literally stirring fire. The person is accompanied by two others that are visible, each of whom are different from the one doing the stirring, and gives the impression that there are more out of view.
