Earlier this afternoon Apple released a security update to both 10.4.11 and 10.5.1. This update brings about many fixes, the bulk of which I’ll mention here. The most sincere of these fixes are 10.5-specific and are Quick Look fixes. These relate to movie files and certain file formats. A bug in iChat was fixed that relates to people on the local network being able to start a video conference without user permission. There are many others, but they don’t have as visible an impact on us users. Don’t forget to backup before applying the update as the update will require a restart. Enjoy, Alex.
