The Differences Between The NXT-G “Motor” Block And The NXT-G “Move” Block

/ 17 October 2006

The differences are quite few, but they count. First off, the “Motor” block can only command one motor per block, while the “Move” block can potentially control all 3 motors. Secondly, when using the “Move” block to move your robot around, it automatically syncs the two motors (B and C) so that none is faster or farther ahead (in degrees) from the other, thus making no mistakes in the movement of your bot, and you’ll have very precise movement in your bot. Using the “Move” block for moving your bot forward or backward also decreases the amount of blocks in your program.
