A Very Settle Change In NXT Firmware

/ 15 October 2006

When I first got my NXT the volume settings were not kept if I turned my NXT off. But just now, I noticed that in fact the settings are kept if you turn the NXT off and back on. Thus enabling us to mute our brick if we know that it will next be used in a place where it should be as quiet as possible (AQAP). The newer firmware (downloadable here) certainly changes more than Lego states it does, as Lego only states that it changes a low-level battery function (but clearly it also changes the speaker software and the sensor drivers {by adding the legacy and compass drivers}). Enjoy, Alex
